Flights and transport

The main airport in Bangkok is Suvarnabhumi – pronounced Swanaboom – which is to the east of the city.

There is an excellent train service to central Bangkok which is very cheap, fast and reliable and is elevated

so you get a good view of the city as well. It is the Airport Rail Link also known as the City Link and it is the method

I would recommend. I would also recommend that you stay at a hotel close to this line so as to minimize travelling

to and from the airport.
